Draft pending legal review. This document has not been reviewed by counsel and must not be relied on until it has been.
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We do not sell personal information.
1Who handles your data
SharpRoster is operated by Basso Digital LLC, which is the controller of personal data described here.
2What we collect
- Account information — if you create an account: email address, display name, and anything else you choose to add.
- Wallet addresses you look up or claim.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical information — IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, and pages viewed.
- Support correspondence — whatever you send us.
You do not need an account to look up a wallet. We would rather not hold data we do not need.
3Why we use it
To operate and improve the service; to process payments; to prevent fraud, abuse and manipulation of our rankings; to respond when you contact us; to send messages you have asked for; and to meet legal obligations including tax and financial recordkeeping.
We do not use your data to target you with gambling advertising, and we do not sell it.
4Records of people who have not signed up
This one deserves a straight answer, because it is unusual. We publish trading records for wallet addresses whose owners may never have used SharpRoster.
That data is public on-chain settlement history: it is published by the blockchain, not by us, and it is pseudonymous — a wallet address, not a name. We link it to a real identity only where the person has claimed the wallet themselves, or has publicly connected their own name to it.
If you believe a record here identifies you and you would rather it did not, contact us. We will not delete the underlying record — it is public and permanent whether we display it or not — but we will discuss removing identifying details and de-listing the profile from search.
5Who we share it with
Service providers who make the product work — hosting, database, payment processing, analytics, email delivery — under contract, and only for those purposes. Otherwise, only where the law requires it, or with your consent.
If the business is ever sold or merged, data may transfer as part of that. We would say so before it happened.
6Cookies
We use what is necessary to run the site and understand how it is used. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
7How long we keep it
Account data for as long as your account is open, and for a short period afterwards. Financial records for seven years, because tax law requires it. Technical logs for a limited period for security and debugging.
8Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, get a copy, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of these. If you are in California, that includes rights under the CCPA; if you are in the EEA or UK, under the GDPR.
Email us to exercise any of these and we will respond within the time the law allows, usually sooner. We may need to verify who you are first.
9Security, honestly stated
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. No service can promise perfect security, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you.
10Children
SharpRoster is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and will delete it promptly if we learn we have.
11Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects your rights, we will give notice before it takes effect rather than quietly updating the date.
